We buried our cat in a spot by the ocean a couple of months ago. I wasn't there, I wasn't there, I wasn't there. The dog I've had since fifth grade, now diagnosed with cancer and I don't spend enough time with her as I should. I'm too concerned with getting a job, getting a job, getting a job, cause I can't take my girlfriend out and pay for dates with love songs. Sometimes I feel like I'm losing myself and sometimes I feel like I'm already lost. My mother and my father have always done the best they can. They deserve so much more that what I've yet to give. And sometimes in my nightmares I can save my child self from turning into someone that I don't know. I'll wake up in the morning with a renewed sense of purpose and the world won't seem as heavy as it normally does. And the dog I've had since fifth grade, her name is Lady, and I love her and when she dies I'll bury her in my backyard. And for her, I will grow. And for you, I will grow. And for me, I will grow. I will grow.
